Darn, after doing a little homework in the last century, what do I find but that Honda made a couple of twostroke bikes that were fairly fast. George Orwell's 1984 did not predict them but they are in Wikipedia.

Yep the days may be gone and forgotten by everyone but the EPA. I wonder who will be the first to sit one?

I read that it had to do with them heating up too quickly or too hot or something and rapidly deflating. That was some weird shit to be sure.

But alas BB, the EPA is the scapegoat for Mr. Honda's hatred of all things 2T.

Ya know...for someone who has sniffed 2T fumes direct from the pipe, with glee I might add. Statements like this make me question your commitment to Sparkle Motion.

with todays technology I think the 2 strokes will be able to pass EPA tests to pass emissions.

OK, time to stop feeding BB and join in.

Anybody beside me (maybe Bear) and NCB watch the 125cc bikes? Last year for'em so this is racing history boys and girls.

Oliveira, Terol, Vinales anybody? Will Webb get anywhere with the Mahindra team?

These racers will most likely end up in MotoGP someday...watch them early :)

    Thread Jack:

No doubt 02, my brothers river boat has a Evinrude engine with direct injection and the thing sounds like a 2T but it don't smoke or act up like one. If you read any serious boat or motocross boards they predominantly favor 2T engines and KTM dirt bikes.

I suppose anything is possible. When one looks at the fact that there are more underbone bikes sold in Malaysia alone ( witness Mr Pedrosa's leathers) than all bikes made for the US market by Honda, it could be that some effort will be made to get the 2T into the green country markets

I have never been anywhere near the commitment level to 2Ts that you have shown BZ, just nostalgic. No worries, I will still pull for you on the flying Bumble Bee when you're on the track. Bwahahaha

I guess its the fact other 2T owners have taken me under their wing and are making me a 2T 'appentice'. I am learning things I never thought I would learn like engine theory, how to rebuild a engine, etc. They give me cool books to read on the history of the 2T,the real reasons 2T's have a bad rap. The research and knowledge is just endless. I say it hits the realm of theology and can almost drive you mad if you don't focus on whats really important (i.e Jesus/ God). Weird analogy, but my head was ready to explode with all the info I had been getting a couple months back.

By the way I'm heading over to the Sierra Clubs office with the 125. thought I'd pull into the building and smoke'em out ;-)

Oh, and the only pulling you'll be doing for me is pulling away on the straight on that s1000!

Sorry 02, I cannot join you in your mourning the 250s, is been too good watching Moto2 make believers of the naysayers. Progress is inevitable.

Watch out, if another rider like Marquez shows up in the 125s .... Well that doesn't happen every year

Moto 2 is slower then the 250 class and I would enjoy it even more if it were not a spec engine class.
Did you never see a 250 race??
the whole point to the moto 2 was to reduce cost, it is the same amount of $$ as running a 250cc overall. I guess they missed their own point.

Marquez made it wild, wish I hadn't missed so may 125 races. Only caught half of them and his win at Mugello rocked.

Are you dudes telling me they don't race Kriedlers in GP anymore? I guess I should start paying more attention to the lists.

One a them famous Italian fast guys I am pretty sure started on some little 80cc bike. Probably a mini-harley.

Just wait till 2012 when there will be a BOSSHOG class in GP, running all those puny little pissant motorscooters off the track and back to those dam forrin places where they belong.
