If i buy a 8 spoke wheel...........

........can i still use a 180/55-17 tire, or will i have to get a smaller one? (i think the 8 spoke is narrower than the newer ones?)

my understanding is they come in 5" and 5.5" so look for the 5.5"

There was 5.5 8 spoke wheels. Look on the back side, it will have a 5.5 in the stamping. I got one that needs repainted or powder coated for sale. It's white.

The 90-93 8 spoke rear wheel is a 5.5 inch wheel. The 94-97 5 spoke wheel is 5.0. 98-09 is a 5 spoke 5.5. You can use a 180 on the 5.5 without any issue.
