Well its only apropos that for my 1000th post I say: I sure am happy to be a 5th Generation owner! In yellow, of course. I may not have added anything useful to this forum, but at least I know I got me an awesome ride.

Great review of the VFR especially as it wasn't even planned rather as it came a positive by product of a new Triumph GT review. Would agree with the writers assessment although admit to being curious as to which tyres are on this particular Gen 5.

The comfort of riding + sporty styling was a win, win for me.

Also, I was getting an 800cc for the same price as an imported CBR250 thats pre-2000 model. Prices in Aus for bikes are crap.

It blows me away that with all the new bikes I am still drawn to the design of mine.

Its definately a love affair :) (hopefully not full blown obsession)

    Good article
I love my 2000....... I just put on new stainless headers and eliminated the cat., Power commander on the way..... and having it tuned on the dyno this summer. Just to make it mine.
Worked great before this latest work ...and never had any electrical problems at all.
I guess we will see how well it runs with the new moods when all the snow is gone.

It's great to read such enlightened articles. Everyone knows the 5th gen is the best, and the red '99 is the best of the best. :thumb:

Is this news? I thought it was common knowledge the 5th Gen is the best & 3rd Gen is second best.

    KC-10 FE out...

Sorry can't agree, the 5th Gen is best followed by the 4th Gen.
