So..went to Sloan's today in Murfreesboro TN and got me a VFR800.

First I'll say that these guys are really good...so if you're in the TN area, I would definitely check them out.

The one I got is a 2007 RWB and it's got just under 16k miles. I test rode the bike and it sounded amazing...great power too. so I got it for 6500k OTD. I thought that was a really good deal since blue book was at 6500k.

Rode the bike home...so smooth, i'm just really excited to get back out there and ride.

I want to thank the guys here for helping me in my decision especially those who recommended sloans.

The bike is all stock and the tires that are on it look pretty much new, they are michellin pilot road2

Very nice. Congrats on your new ride. Spring comes sooner down there I guess so you'll be riding soon.

I know that the PCIII with o2 eliminators is a popular mod on this bike...can someone provide me with info on how hard this is to do?

Is there a major kink with this year VFR that I should look at?

Is there a battery tender connector to the battery? I believe the bike hasn't been ridden for a while and the battery is weak in cold starts, takes some time to turn over.

    any suggestions?

    thanks.

Congrats on the new ride. It will give you miles and miles of great riding. As for the battery, my oem battery only lasted about two years, so you might need to replace it.

I have a tender from old bike...so I'll try to hook it up to the battery and see if it'll charge it...otherwise i'll have to get a new battery...

Bmatic - if you get a new battery try one of these. It costs about the same as a lead acid battery but will save you 7 ugly lbs.

    ShoraiUsa - VFR800 (all)

A local shop that sells them will have it for less than the website price. If you can't find a place, 303 Cycles in Denver sells them and can ship to you.

Congrats on the sweet bike! I love that RWB finish.

I've bought two of these batteries already for my other bikes. If you read the Shorai FAQ you'll see they're even coming out with their own charger in March that will interface even better than the Battery Tender, although you can still use a Battery Tender if you want to. This battery is a very nice upgrade as you lose a lot of weight for not a lot of money and you get a better, newer-tech product in the process.

I've got a lot of love for 303, they've always treated me very well. Their website is 303 Cycle | Motorcycle Accessories | Motorcycle Gear | Motorcycle Tires | 303 Cycle Englewood, CO (303) 893-4349 and their phone # is 303-893-4349. The proprietors there are David and Wade. Tell 'em Gary with the white VFR sent you!

Congrats again on the sweet ride.
