I just rebuild the carbs on my vf750 1984 , and tried installing them the rubber boots are so hard c ant get the carbs on the engine. I was wondering if anybody has an idea how to soften up they way they are now almost imposssible to install thanks steve
put them is some hot water that should make them a little softer(drain first before install) a heat gun,..... the best one....if they are that hard it may be time to replace them......
what are carbs? sorry couldn't resist. I'm procrastinating doing my workout for today so I keep looking for something to do on the board. Maybe I should go riding...
I used silicone waterproofing solution that is used for tents and awnings, soaked the boots for a couple of days, softened them up to usable condition.
thanks for the replies guys but, I just realized the problem is canadian winter to cold still outside i will have to wait for more descend temperature, or bring thre bike in my brothers garage
