vf750 1984

    I just rebuild the carbs on my vf750 1984 , and tried installing them the rubber boots are so hard c ant get the carbs on the engine. I was wondering if anybody has an idea how to soften up they way they are now almost imposssible to install

    put them is some hot water that should make them a little softer(drain first before install) a heat gun,..... the best one....if they are that hard it may be time to replace them......

    sorry couldn't resist. I'm procrastinating doing my workout for today so I keep looking for something to do on the board. Maybe I should go riding...

    I used silicone waterproofing solution that is used for tents and awnings, soaked the boots for a couple of days, softened them up to usable condition.

    thanks for the replies guys but, I just realized the problem is canadian winter to cold still outside i will have to wait for more descend temperature, or bring thre bike in my brothers garage
