I am considering purchasing the OEM windshield deflector and would like comments, suggestions or recommendations on how it compares to aftermarket sport turing shields (i.e. GIVI,. PUIG or Laminar Lip, etc.). I am 5"11"" with a 32 inseam. I just installed the Heli Bars risers but have not test driven the DCT due to very inclement weather.

Your opinions and thoughts are greatly appreciated.

    Thank you,
    anbark22

I am waiting for the Zero Gravity Double Bubble. I think Givi makes one. I don't like the looks of the Puig and I think the guy's a twat anyway. Can I say twat here? I don't like the looks of the lip either. Just my .02. Ride safe.

WTF? Gen 6 is the longest run of any honda (car or bike) I can think of and ten minutes after gen 7 hit the road factory mods rain from the sky it sounds like. I want my money back! Would still like to see a pic and maybe I can fit it to the gen 6 with some JB weld and duct tape.

I rode one with the lip thing on it, and could barely tell the difference. I'd say if you really want more wind deflection, go with one of the aftermarket ones. I haven't tried any of them on a 7th gen, but on the 5th gen my Givi touring screen deflects most but it ugly. My Zero Gravity Double Bubble, compromises between form and function. It blocked more wind than stock, didn't fit as good as stock or givi, but looked much better than Givi. Not sure how that will compare on the new bikes, though.

I believe you can say "twat", but probably not post a pic of one.

Out for a ride yesterday wondering how the OEM windscreen will deflect bugs? The bugs can get very think real fast if even a 1/3 of them go over the helmet it would be nice. I like being in the wind but those grasshoppers sting some too.

For those that may be interested...I got a note from Zero-Gravity this week saying production, of their 3 models, will start in less than 30 days. R&D is nearly complete according to their correspondence.
