Rear brake caliper slider seized?

    Hi can any one tell me if the bottom mounting bolt is supposed to allow movement like the top one
    Fiche exploded view
    Is part 13 supposed to slide in the caliper bodY?

    Yes it is supposed to slide. You should be able to get it oot and clean it up and lube it.

    I have already tried to remove it but its stuck solid.
    Any recomendations for its removal?

    I had to hammer them out with a screwdriver and a wooden mallet when I rebuilt my brake system. If you're careful the rubber boots should be alright. I just wire wheeled the sleeve and gave it a thick coat of grease and stuck it back in.

    I used the handle end. It was siezed die to 25 year old grease turning into a rock. It was too stuck to take pliers to it and chew it up. I didn't have any problems luckily.

    A couple of sockets and a bench vise worked a treat.
    Now to replace the worn disks
