the coldest for me would be 20 f and hottest would be upper around 100, didn't have a temp gauge on my 88 radian so I don't know exact temp, I'm just wondering what extremes are bearable to ride in, I could do colder and hotter but haven't really had the opportunity to do so, I have to say though, when I rode at 20 degrees, I had to ride for about an hour and a half, I could go faster because if I did, the wind would get in to the cracks and freeze me out, and if I went slow, of course, it would take me longer to get home... I'm ready for spring so I could take my bike to work every day and not worry about freezing to death.

Scorpion exo700 with chin skirt/wind deflector thingie installed. Tourmaster Caliber pants (like wearing an armored blanket) and my new spiffy BMG Thermosport gloves. Red Wing work boots. I'll ride to around 20, but I avoid it if I can. Upper is harder to say. Here in southern California we regularly get daily temps over 100 in the summer, but I'll say anything over 110 and I try not to be out too long! lol

Can't ride my '06 in over 100. I can hang but the bike cannot. I don't know how the AZ guys do it. My bike gets up to 230 in a heartbeat if the ambient air temp is over 100. Cold, however no problem. I once rode home from SLO with Stuka and for 3 hours straight it was between 28-34. (we left before 0500)

will start a ride in 30's but the temp has to be rising, wear layers go the speed limit to reduce wind chill. Summer is hot, upper 90s, and humid,100%, which requires vents open on my Olympia air mesh jacket, mesh pants, and lot's of stops for water. Will freeze a 3/4 full water bottle and put in the inside pocket of my jacket to help some. Right now through the end of May is perfect, normally, lows in 40's highs in the 60's.

The coldest temp I ever rode in was 17 F. As long as the roads are dry and free of ice/snow I'll ride, but normally not much lower than the 20's.

My gear is much better these days. I now used heated gear and insulated clothing.

The day that I rode in 17 F was out of necessity. I was on my way to work when the drive shaft on my truck dropped. My only other vehicle was my bike.

The hottest temp had to be while riding through MX in June 2008. It was easily over 100 F. I'm unsure of actual temp.

I'm not a big fan of anything less than 30F, but have done it maybe once or twice. I have actually ridden in the snow (with PoconoVFR and DenT), although we weren't dealing with accumulations.

I don't have any "real" cold weather gear. Not even heated grips. All my pants are First Gear mesh, so best I can do is put a liner in. One of my jackets is textile, so that's a little bit better, but all the others are mesh (all First Gear). I finally went this past November and bought a pair of warmer gloves - Olympia, I think.

Hottest was probably upper 90s, with humidity to match. I don't buy that shit about AZ and NV having a dry heat, but I do know that humidity sucks.

I have commuted in temps in the teens. Not fun, but doable.
I have ridden in temps over 100, but the bike has to stay moving. Traffic in temps that high causes my bike temp gauge to start blinking...that's not good.

I think I am willing to try single digits as long as the road conditions are good ie. road with no ice/salt/snow... hot, I don't know, I'd rather do cold then hot, you could only take off so much but you could put on layers...

I've ridden when it was snowing, heading home when I saw that. Hottest was about 105-100 (F) with high humidity and that sucked, as most of the riding was in town. I decided that sometimes a cage is just better. Especially when my driveway looked like this yesterday. yeah, that's me back there.

Heat does not bother me as much as the bikes but the ugliest has been 116 degrees in a thong. Heat shmeat. Now the cold is a much different story. Have rode in the snow when I was young and retarted but these day's me and my vagina call it a day at 40ish. On rode trips you just gotta roll with it though.

Very true, but most road trips on a bike are done in season aren't they? 40? That's quite warm...

Rushmore trip saw us at 85+ in Denver.......an hour later 36 degrees in a monsoon over the Rockies. Never know what is around the corner. Late summer trip and thought we were safe. I blame Tink.
