Right, as you may have noticed, all those bikes are plated. The reason I sold my ATV for a Dual Sport was because I was tired of loading up to ride.

Although, in the case of Saturday, I did actually load up because the ride was 2hrs from my house. We tore up some paved twisties too. I need to figure out why I feel more confident cornering on the dual sport than I do my VFR.

Weight or suspension, maybe? Shorter wheelbase? Could just be that you're not yet comfortable with a more rigid chasse.

You're too kind. I was leaning more toward the fact that I'm a pussy. I do think the hours spent on the dual sport are helping me on the VFR. Learning to ride more loose and move the bike around under me.

One of these days, if you'd like, I could take the bike for a ride and give you my impressions; not that I'll be able to fix a damn thing, but if something is off, I could probably point to what it is.

I haven't had a group ride since replacing the rear shock. I know it improved but not show how much compared to the herd. I'm sure we'll have you on it some time this summer.

Great looking bikes guys! I am glad you got to take advantage of the good weather. Tink your ride looked like alot of fun too. Some dead trees in the backgroung, pine beetle kill? or fire?I was really busy at work Friday and Saturday and didn't get to ride. Of course on my day off tomorow it's gonna be snowing. Guess I'll just go shooting. Anyways thanks for posting some cool pics.

Deckers fire some 8 years ago or so. Beetle kill looks much different because beetles don't kill all trees besides being left with needles and twigs.

You'll have to come out with us next time, milehigh. Deckers is a treat for both street (that's also where the three of us rode) and offroad. We'll be sure to keep you posted.

You wouldn't hold anyone up. It's a good group, like Gary said, guys that just ride at their own pace. The emphasis being that everyone gets home in one piece. Everything else is just riding in the mountains.
