Thought I'd post up and get flamed. I took a 5th Gen 2000 VFR800FI and put a 95 CBR954RR double sided swing arm on it. This is not going to be a bike anymore, but a Reverse Trike, and the single sided arm flexes with the extra weight in the corner. Regardless, it was not as hard as people made the conversion out to be, and I even did it the hard way. Took me about 2 hours. Chain, tire, and shock centerline all line up just right.

I would be the last to flame you but it does stand to reason that if the SSSA was not strong enough, that several other parts of the chassis may not be structurally up to the task.

Thanks for the differing perspective. From what I've seen, the only part that flex's on the SS arm is the middle where it is the weakest. The double sided ones flex as well, but simply not as much since they have the extra arm to support the cornering forces. The frame and mounting points are not effected by this flex, and dont seem to compromise integrity.

I'll check it out though. Do any parts of the bike frame come to mind of things that I should consider a weakness?
