Sorry if this is a stupid question but if I don't ask I won't know. Will a non-VFR pipe fit a VFR ? Is it just the mid pipe &/or diameter that is the problem? I only ask as I see lots of 2nd hand pipes that are really nice & that are going cheap. Nothing, however, seems to come up 2nd hand for a VFR. So could I buy a pipe & have a mid pipe made up to fit or is it there a lot more to it than that? Again, please excuse my ignorance
    PS It is a 98.

    hallo VFRod,
on my 99er VFR i have built on a shark custom pipe . the sound a bit better, sound a bit deeper -i like it.
i´ve no problems with the police bacause the pipe is not to loud. the law in this case is here germany very strange.
the pipe was not so expensive .

    kind regards

well it depends on the exhaust part youre looking at. a VFR's exhaust is pretty much comprised of the header pipes, the mid-pipe joining all the header pipes together, then a muffler to connect to the back of the midpipes. the muffler is about the only piece of this puzzle that you could use a non-vfr replacement for. as long as you can find a muffler that has an inlet that is the same size as the outlet on your midpipe, you can at least go that route. other than that, youre pretty well stuck looking for an aftermarket system that includes the midpipe and muffler (such as the ever so popular 4-2-1 systems made for the viffers)
