I just did a search and couldn't find the answer. I've got a used low-mount Staintune and Sargent seat on the way for my 2000 and cannot wait to improve an already great bike. My question is about the exhaust gasket on the end of the header where it meets with the S-pipe of the muffler. Do I recycle it for the Staintune installation? I'm asking now so I can order one ASAP if need be (I think mine is stuck inside the stock S-pipe) so I can install the Staintune as soon as it arrives! Thanks, Sasha
No. The Staintune does not require a gasket (it wouldn't fit even if you were determined to try to use it). I've got the pipe on now and holy *&#$! It sounds so sweet. My wife was following me it her car yesterday and I did her the favor of revving the engine at every red light and then taking off with the green. At our destination, my 3-year-old (also in the car) said, "Daddy, you're obnoxious." Mission accomplished!
I am glad you like the Exhaust...........Staintune does sound nice. What you need now is PC III O2 sensor eliminator....The list will go on and on
