It's a gas problem. Did you run out of gas? Double check! Petcock on off, or ON when it needs to be on reserve?
Check and possibly replace the fuel filter.
Check the airfilter just in case, but I bet it's the gas!

what are you riding? does it have a fuel pump?

Fist thing I would check would be the vacume line to the petcock, then the petcock it's self (assuming it is gravity feed or has a working fuel pump).

so i found that the tip off one of the float needle vale thingys was broken off, blocking the fuel from entering the carb. got a new one and put it all back together but now the bike wont rev past about 3k without choking out. feels like an air leak somewere cause when i put the choke on it will reach a little higher but still same problem. any ideas? got spark and gas in all the bowls. must have been something after putting the carbs back on cause this is a different symptom than before. any help is much appreciated

Sounds like gas is still not being delivered properly if you have spark.

    I'm having running issues too.

One of the best advice I was given was to pull the plugs and see how the bike is running by the color and condition of the plugs.

    Good luck
