Hey fellow obsessive Viffer owners. I found this awesome website
    www.DDMtuning.com
HID upgrade kits. Lifetime warrenty. Ballasts and all.
My only problem. i cant for the life of me find what type of bulb my 5th gen has in it ANYWHERE. I have the factory manual. (no help, i have torque specs for everything, splug gaps ect. nothing that is helping me. I have co-workers who have added them on to their bikes of different (and lesser style) and i like the idea. Especially when they are so cheap. I know you can use an H4 style bulb but you have to bend tabs ect. ect. ect. but does anyone know they type? is it a 9005? 9006? H11? I know it seems like a fairly lame question, but hey i always ask the experts here. Not only that i figure everyone here might like a crack at this website. :thumb: HOpe someone can help.

General consensus seems to be to use an H4 bulb and modify the base. There are pictures of this floating around somewhere on the site if you do a little digging.

Mine is 6th gen. And they did not have a model specific bulb for mine. But I took mine into the shop where I bought the bulb, and the guy was right on it and got me what I needed. But when we (I mean Jasonsmith) did the install, we (he) had to cut away one of the tabs. But no regrets. Love these lights. Going to add low beams as well.

@ Metallican - Yea i knew about the Mod, just tried to get an idea of the actual bulb for the kits DDM offers. I didnt think i should be chopping and hacking an HID bulb. But i appreciate the input to all. Thank you guys. I may make a few phone calls. And then update everyone with whatever i work out so anyone wanting a plug and play HID from DDM can order it. At least the Gen 5ers No offence randy.
