Hey everyone. Just got my first street bike and after much deliberation ended up with an '04 Asphalt Black VFR. Bike came with Corbin seat and Heli bars. Looking to make the bike just a little more comfortable since I'm a short guy (5'8") and have a hard time riding more than 2-3hrs at a time. Any tips/tricks you can give me would be really appreciated.

Grats on the new bike! I just picked up my first one last month, can't wait for it to warm up so I can go ride. As far as comfort goes, you've already got it covered pretty well with the seat/bars. I'm just about the same height as you and I find the bike pretty comfortable. The only comfort issue I have comes when I need to stop/put my feet down. I have a hard time reaching the ground, but thats nothing a good lowering link can't fix. As long as we're on the topic of suspension, maybe check and make sure the suspension is set up for your weight. If its over or under adjusted it could make for too harsh or too soft of a ride. Whats the main cause of your discomfort? Riding position?

Yeah, BB, what he said. I am on my second VFR and second bike period. Before I got my '05, I had a '99. I put a Sargent seat on it before taking my "epic ride" up to Canada and back through New England and Pennsylvania back to Atlanta. Suspension and the seat made all the difference. I could ride for quite a while in great comfort. Checking the body position (Heli bars on the first bike) makes a big difference as well. Congrats on the new acquisition and keep the shiny side up.
