Looking at getting a No-Mar Tire changer and wondering what the masses say? I am torn between the standard, the Jr. Pro and the Pro (don't really need the Pro, but they are running a special right now with $300 off the Pro and free shipping) making it only $200 more than the Jr. Pro. I had been leaning towards the Jr. Pro....
The design and quality of the no-mar tire changers are first rate and the people who work there are top notch. I ended up ordering the Classic ModelĀ® Ultimate Package but had the same problem deciding which model to order. Talked to Sue (in sales) and she was very helpful in steering me in the right direction. But looking at all the models again the Pro is very tempting. Good luck on your decision it's a tough one for sure.
neighbor has the Jr Pro. Pretty nice units. Have changed a couple tires on my VFR with it this year. My only complaints would be with a couple of the bar ends. Namely the one that drops down into the center of the hub. When trying to mount a tire, the swinging arm puts so much pressure on the center arm that the no mar bar end tries to pop out. Takes two of us to keep things from coming apart or damaging itself or the wheel. If it were my unit, I'd probably fabricate my own hub that matched my wheel for the center bar to line up with. Not sure if any of that makes sense to anyone but me.
I have the Classic with a hitch mount. I was able to buy a demo at VIR last year and 'pick and choose' accessories--all at a discount. It works well and I would recommend the product. As for a balancer, I use a Marc Pharnes. Motorcycle Wheel Balancer Add>>>as I just got the VFR, I have not balanced a rear tire and do not have the rear wheel adapter for the balancer.
Harbor freight has an adapter for like $12. It shoulk work with other balancers. They also have a balance stand for liek $60. It is sold under another name for $120.
I was going to do the balancer from No-Mar. Really bummed that they aren't offering the $200 off the Jr. Pro, then I would be all done by now...
