Looks like Motorcycle Superstore are doing a deal on Pirelli tires, 40% off or so.

Thing is, are they worth it compared to the other brands? I need some new wheels on the VFR I just bought, so may take the plunge... recommendations?

Actually, beginning to think it's a lovely play on words - looks like it's only 10%

    My question still stands though!

Re: Pirelli Tires Discount - Are They Worth It?

I went to the site and priced out a set of Pirelli Angels (S/T) and came up with $230 to my door. That's about $35 cheaper than my alternative number on PR2s. But they aren't PR2's! Still waffling between the PR2 and Storm 2 Ultra. I want a 10,000 mile sport tour tire for my 6th gen!

the Diablo and Diablo Corse IIIs are both excellent from personal experience. For the money though, Dunlop Q2s are better. use thefind.com to find deals

I love my Angle's. Great tires! I'm on my second set but ony get about 8500 miles on a rear tire. Next set I'm going to try some Pilot 2's.

"Pilot 2's" and Dunlop Q2s are both great choices for grip but you'll be changing 'em out by the 2nd oil change... Just saying, definitely not knocking. Those are the ones I rock depending on whats cheaper at the time. I run pure stock Pirelli's on my 1198 though...

On my VFR i have a Pirelli Angel. Came recommended by my riding buddies for both grip and distance. My chicken strips are down to the last couple of millemeters and have had no reason to doubt the Angels stickyness as yet. I see no need to look any further. The VFR is not a peg scraper in any case so give it a try, even if you do not share my opinion and don't like it, you would not have bought a "bad" tyre.
