Whats going on guys and gals? I'm a Ducati Monster rider that picked up a basket case of a 94 VFR750 for $100!! I'm stoked!! I love naked bikes so my plans for this VFR may be a bit different than ya'lls. Who knows what's wrong with it but I'll end up figuring it out sooner or later. The skinny on the VFR is: it's a 94 750, gauges show a little over 1,000 miles!!!, I bought it from a friend that I ride with who bought it from his boss who bought it from a local bike shop that worked with/sold bikes that had insurance issues i.e wrecked or totaled. From what I've been told the bike was wrecked by the woman who owned it (I'm working on getting the title with the county/state) and it had a lot of front end damage and I'm assuming it was then totaled by insurance. I have most of the stock parts even the damaged ones. All I'm missing is the front wheel and rotors. I'm not too worried about that because I think I'm going to Frankenstein the bike anyway. I'm glad there are enthusiasts out there like ya'll!!!! I'm sure I'll learn a lot from talking to ya'll and maybe my VFR vision will come true.
Hello from a bit south of you. I work for a Honda (actually multi line) shop in Roanoke and we just got a 2000 basket case VFR that the owner is letting the service manager have for 300.00. It'll be interesting to see your and his progress.
I'd like to make room in my garage for a new project so I'm going to try and sell it / part it out. I posted it in the classifieds but it seems my connection is on the fritz so I'm not sure if it took.
