As stephanon2whls said in an earlier thread, "If it ain't gonna snow, might as well ride! Got up to 60F in southern NH this weekend. Figured for that kind of weather I've got to push the bike out of the basement. Spent about 3 hours this afternoon going in absolutely no definate direction what-so-ever. Enjoyed every minute of it.
Was a rather short reprieve, the weather is supposed to go back to crap tomorrow, but, how often do you figure you'd be able to get in a ride in January in NE.

BTW, this is the longest I've spent on the bike in one stretch, and you guys are absolutely correct! The stock seat sucks!:frown:

    January NH riding, nice form!!

I ordered the Sargent the day the chap brought my bike from WV Dec 27th. An 04 w/600 miles. The stocker is way too soft for 300 mile days. Here in Northern VA it was 55, 3 hours was enough for 150 miles! So happy with VFR so far, it likes to turn in, at least alot more than my last an FZ1.:blah: :smash:

I'll have to agree about the stock seat. After spending about 3 hours myself tooling around North Phoenix / Carefree and Bartlett Lake, my backside was ready to part ways with that saddle. A Sargent is looking like the next upgrade for the bike. Just have to free up the funds.

    Ride safe and enjoy.

    Phil

Hmmm......I'm a big guy & I have an 86' w/ a stock seat & in my mid thirties; I can ride 600 miles in relative comfort in a day???? I can't imagine the 86' seat being better than later models or I am wrong? Not arguing that a sargeant or Corbin would be better, just curious.

When I first bought the bike the longest I spent on it was commuting to work and back, about an hour-15 each way. Figured that for $350 I could deal with the stock seat. But now I'm not so sure. Thsi is definately an area Honda neads to look at if there is to be a next Gen VFR.
As far as the '86 seat being better than the newer ones, the seat on my wifes '86 VF 500 is a very different shape than the VFR. That could make some difference. But, I've only ridden the 500 for half an hour at a time twice, so I really can't compare.

    Showoff!

Great shot of Morrow Rock. Many years ago my grandmother had a place about 45 minutes north of there right off PCH in SLO. I would love to take my VFR out on PCH in ANY weather.

Yea, but when was the last time you had to spent 2 hours throwing heavy shovel fulls of heat because because the crap in your driveway was so heavy that it just plugged up your humidity thrower?
