Oggy knobs or not.

hi I'm new to all of this but i thought i'd give it a go.
I have a 2002 model 800 and love it. Anyone got any veiws on if it is worth putting on oggy knobs. Or do you have other ideas, Apart from the obvous and that is don't fall off.

 

I just installed a pair of the no-cut type on my 07 last week. They look extreme sturdy, and fit precisely to the engine mounts. However, like all non-OEM parts there are slight imperfections. On the left side, the fairing rests on the oggy knobb bracket causing the fairing to very slightly bulge-maybe a couple of mm's-only noticeable to the person that installed it. The right side correctly does not touch the fairing. Also on the right side, the OEM engine bolt had on it's bolt head end threads to mount a bracket for some small device (that has to do with the coolant system?). Their required replacement has no threads (this is not mentioned in their instructions), this bracket can be relocated though. See this thread for more info:

I am going to be placing an order for a set of their no-cut frame sliders for my 2008. The price I was quoted was $300 plus shipping. I am mentioning this here to see if anyone else is interested in ordering a set and combining the shipping to the US and maybe, getting a bit of a break on the price. They make them to order now since the VFR has not been sold in Australia for a couple of years.

If you're interested, please let me know ASAP. I'd like to order mine in the next 1-2 weeks.
