so i was checking out the new power commander 5 with the ability to get the auto tune 02 sensor and what-not, but its only giving me 08-09 models...wondering if it were still capable to mount up with my bike?

I suggest stick with the recommended year and model for your motorcycle or you can go to your local tuning center and have it dynoed if you want to install the PC5.

You guys are really over thinking this.
Havcar, as usual, has the right idea.

The VFRD thread posted by Ranger only proves my point that you need not worry about installing a PC5 for an '08-'09 onto an '06. What I did find interesting is that the OP in the VFRD thread paid an additional $400 U.S. for the auto-tune, or nearly double what it would cost a person to get a completely customized map on a dyno. Plus the OP obviously had several hours of labor into exacting the auto-tune, whereas at a dyno tuners you'd simply drop off the machine and retrieve it upon completion; and probably get a better tune for it. I havn't done much research into a PC5 as I already own a custom mapped PCIII, but I have to say that based on the VFRD post, a PC5 with auto-tune looks to be substantially more money than a person would need to spend for optimized mapping. I would weigh the cost differential between a PCIII with a custom dyno and a PC5 with auto-tune before I made any purchasing decisions.

I believe you can go to Two Bros site to find a map, or call them. I know that one now exists. I would urge you to to get the most out of your mods by forking over the $250 for a custom map at a dyno tuners. No downloaded map can compare to a custom. Often enough a download can actually have negative affects, in my case the bike was running very rich; practically choked.

If you havn't already, you'll also need two o2 eliminators.
