If Honda goes ahead with a new generation of VFR, which direction would get you to upgrade from your current VFR? (this is in comparison to current 6 gen)

    1. More sporty. ( less weight, same or more displacement, more adjustable suspension, same or more HP )

    2. More touring. ( bigger displacement, bags, upright seating, same or more HP )

    3. No change. ( continue with mixture of sport/tour comparable to current gen 6 )

    4. Other. ( possible more radical departure. specify )

It is my opinion that at least someone from Honda probably peruses these type fan sites on occasion, and that maybe they'd find your opinions at least somewhat helpful. Let's see what we think...

Number "1" definitely. Also, they need to keep up the cool new color schemes. Everyone really seems to love the RWB, and I am no different.

Only other thing I think they could add or change is perhaps a more comfy seat either as stock or option. Something along Sargent lines that reminds you and your pals that even though she looks and rides sport, she can take you the distance, too.

Easy choice, diffently # 1. The reason I love the VFR is because of the long distance capabilities and when the Moto GP rider in me wants to come out, it has the abilities to to be a canyon carver...

Bump up the HP/torque.. Less weight ... Ohlins option front and rear and keep the existing ergos... Well now that should do the TRICK !!! Honda this would be SO SIMPLE... They would sell a boat load of VFR's..... That might just earn them (HONDA) Bike of the honors again... IT is so sad that honda has given up on the VFR line... Well maybe they have a suprise up there sleeve.. We should be so lucky.. Untill then I will just have to ride my07 RWB untill the wheels fall off.. Hopefully in the garage !!

Don't agree with 1. There are lots of great sports bikes out there and not many good sports tourers.
Don't agree with 2. There are a number of good big sports tourers out there. ST1300, FJR1300.
I Favour 3. More or less the same style but some improvements such as decent front fork springs and fully adjustable suspension. The existing is a bit soft for 200lbs plus. Would like more bottom end, could easily be accomodated by adding something similar to the Power Commander. That way we can adjust things to suit our individual styles. The loss of the VFR as it is would effectively mean there are no really good midsize sports tourers available. To me that would be a huge loss. The sports bikes are just too uncomfortable for me and the other sports tourers are too big for general use.

Forgot one thing it would be nice to have, convertibars. Changing bars is sure expensive and it would be relatively cheap if they came with the bike.

I'm ever-so-slightly partial to option #1. Overall though I think the bike is great as-is. I like the fact that it is such a technological marvel and would like to see that continue. However, it absolutely cannot gain any more weight.
