Well, it snowed here this week. Pretty light most places but there was 6-8" in front of my house which caused me to have another of my brilliant ideas! As much as cages bore me, it strikes me that driving in the snow is not completely unlike riding...it's just a matter of monitoring and maximizing available traction. I remember reading somewhere that short sheet metal screws could be inserted into the knobs of an offroad tire thus turning it into a hillbilly snow tire...clever inbreds! Since my best judgement was already on display I quickly concluded that "studs" would not be necessary as there was much more snow than ice. I quickly warmed my trusty XR250R thinking that the KTM640 might be just a little much for this particular experiment. I now know that the necessary U-Turn radius for a bike in the snow is approximately the same size as a postage stamp...good to know! Thought I'd share.
With all this brilliance at my disposal you'd think I'd remember a camera (and also not to duplicate such a lame posting), oh well I was planning on riding.
