Getting a feel for a Poconos ride.

Hey need some help with a charity ride on Sunday. Poker run...75 miles...food and drink at the end. Starts at 10:30 not far from my shop and should be done around 2-3 pm.Last year all the guys that usually show up on sporty bikes.....well they went and bought phaggy Hardleys and now I'm the last man standing. It would be nice to have some v-fours along. Did I mention Police escort so no traffic?

 

Hey Steve, how fast will they be going? Will you take us on a real ride after?

 

You guys suck. Ok the bike is already covered but I'm willing to pull it out for one more day. The heavy frost this morning brought a grin to my mug with memories of snow on my seat and DenT's gehy wear from earlier this spring. I figure if we play are cards right and leave early enough we have a good possibility to recreate the same situation we came into this season with.........cold as hell,snowing and Den's obvious admitance to a alternative life style.....metro-sexual.
What say everyone to a weekend ride? Besides I haven't had a good opppertunity to make fun of Mikey in a couple months.

 

I will only come if Ed wears the outfit...again! I missed it the first time because I had enough intelligence to stay home because of the weather Hey Steve, what day were you thinking about doing the ride?

 

This weekend will probably be the best that we get for the rest of this year. Think both days might hit 60. I've had frost several times in my neck of the woods already. Rode to work today - it was a brisk 36 when I left my house, but made it up to 47 by the time I was at my office.

Dino - the best way to describe Ed's clothing that day would be...Flamboyant.

I should be able to swing a ride, although I'm traveling out of town tonight and won't be back until late Friday evening. Not sure I could make a crack of dawn Saturday morning ride.

Hey Mike that was me who tried to call you before. My hats off to you if you rode to work today! Ed has to wear the outfit again. I might have to call him later to make sure he dresses appropriately

 

good grief...all this drama over a scarf... it was F'n snowing for god's sake! lol... I'll let you guys know when the time comes closer.

Lets look at Saturday late morning into the afternoon. My "crack of dawn" days are over when it gets below 40.

Welcome center would be cool. I have some tasks to preform in the am but my afternoon is wide open. We could do say 1-ish?

nah didn't happen. i think tomorrow... 10 at welcome center. should be in the 50s by then.

 

See you at the welcome center at 10am. I had a few things develop, and I need to bail out by about noon or a little there after.

 

and by 50s i mean 35 degrees at the welcome center... Me and Mikey went for a little spin...
