What the hell is this thing?

It started off as a conceptual drawing package that was accidentally released, as none off the drawings were marked "Preliminary". 30,000 panels were produced before manufacturing generated an Engineering Change Order to correct it, and another 50,000 were produced by the time the Material Review Board decided it was wrong and had the drawings updated by the engineering department. At that point, it was decided that it was easier/cheaper to design a circuit to utilize the button than to scrap the panel assemblies. The entire allotment of MPH dash assemblies had already been built before the conceptual drawing package was inadvertently released, so the new circuit was implemented on KPH assemblies only, as they were in the early stages of production. :laugh:

What is obvious is that Cundalini pressed, twisted, or fondled the mysterious thingie and is now MIA. Everyone who has one of these on thier bike should IMO, cover the damn thing up with duct tape.

OMG! See what happens if that damn button is pushed more than once? I am removing the duct tape ASAP and injecting a few cc of Gorilla Glue.

 

The button only works on Right Hand Drive models?
