This overflow tube on the right side is belching fuel at idle. Is this a float issue? Dirt? Bad fuel? I treated the tank with both StaBill and Sea Foam. Any Ideas or an I looking at pulling her carbs and clean a second time this season?

I would call that a bit on the strange side but I do not think you have a choice in taking them back off to investigate what the cause is.

I have a feeling that I will pull them and look at them they will look like carbs I cleaned 3 months ago. But worth a shot I guess.

Good luck. I hope you find something that's causing it!

Are there drain screws and small drain hoses attached to the bottom of the float bowls? (I don't know the V4's...). If so, it night be worth draining the carb in question and trying it again. If there is a small piece of debris between the needle and seat, lowering the float as far as it can go might provide enough room for the the offending debris to get past the needle/seat with an incoming rush of fuel. If that takes care of the overflow problem, the debris will now be in the float bowl, so the drain screw should be opened again to hopefully remove the debris. Just a thought.

You could unscrew the drain screws and blow some carbi cleaner in there along with some compressed air. Could also unscrew your mixture screws and spray some carb cleaner in there along with some air. Could also gently tap the offended carb bowl with a punch and hammer, sometimes this is enough to dislodge what ever is caught between needle and seat. Gud Luk

She's ALIVE! I did pull the carbs off. Cleaned the float valves and jets and reinstalled. She smoked to all hell for 4 or 5 minutes then ran fine.

I was working on airbox of my 4G, and found the gray fuel line from the tank petcock to the fuel filter had two pinholes. I presumed that the tube failed because it was oxidized after 15 years. You might check your fuel lines and consider replacing. They aren't cheap, when ordered from the dealer :^(
