Smiling VFR Owner, after 3 months of searching

First, great website. Been lurking for a while gathering knowledge.

After 3 months of combing Craigslist for the perfect VFR, losing hope as bikes sold on weekends I worked, I finally find the ideal bike. My VFR lust has finally been satiated.
What I wanted was an '02 with ABS, and I ended up with this beauty.

'02 ABS, 19k miles, OEM hard bags and Sargent seat with not a scratch on it. $3500 :biggrin:

I have a DR650 and learned to ride street on that but after a few years I needed more power. Now I couldn't be happier. Put 500 miles on it this weekend riding around SoCal, and can't wait to do many more.

Thanks for the comments. I'm looking forward to more seat time, and making little mods. Second day I had it I did the flapper, snorkel, and pair valve fix. Love it, may do something with the exhaust soon.

Staintune Exhaust! Life can get better. I LOVE MINE. Congrats.

 

I live in La Quinta, near Palm Springs. At school out in LA, but keep the bike at home.

Would love a staintune exhaust but can't justify spending that much for an exhaust. If a used system pops up somewhere, I'm there.

TonyD's right. Mine came w/Staintune as well. You better watch your back for cops, that really was a steal. I ride my '07 A LOT! And like wgregt says, this is the place to be if you like riding year-round and lane splitting! I have to use this last one all the time - Glendora to Burbank Mon-Fri and the I-210 is a parking lot.

Have fun, and maybe we'll see 'round twisties one of these fine summer-like days!

Hey VFRSmitty. How do you find your Sargent Saddle? Looks like a real sharp looking seat.

 

Attached one pic in the first post, was riding too much to take much more!

I really like the Sergant seat, I agree it looks slick and comfort I can't complain! I haven't rode a stock seat so I can't compare the two.

Staintunes I have my eyes peeled for, but its still so much fun to ride as is I don't need one just yet.
