Need center stand - source(s)?

I just helped my girlfriend pick up an '84 VF700F Interceptor, and what I failed to notice is that it didn't have a center stand, though the mounting shaft is there (but loose).

Several weeks of searching has revealed that there aren't any places to get a new OEM stand anymore. Does anyone know of a good source for the used parts - or compatibility of other model years' center stands?

Any help appreciated!

 

I had, and there weren't any for a 1984, but I just looked after I posted this thread and there is a 1984 center stand - but without the return spring, which is also not available for purchase from the OEM parts resellers.

If I can find a return spring, I'll buy the stand. All of the other parts (pinch bolts, shaft) are available for purchase from OEM resellers.

What is everyone else doing if/when their return springs wear out? Is there an acceptable known substitute?

 

Is the stand different than the one on the VF500? I have one sitting here (from a 500, complete springs and all) that you can have for shipping if it will fit....

 

I was lucky enough to find an '85 700f center stand on fleabay for about $25 shipped with the stand, shaft, and spring.
Mounting it was a POS though because one of the mounting brackets for the shaft was bent to shit, BUT because of that i was able to get the stand on WITHOUT removing most of the exhaust.
You'll probably find it difficult/impossible to put on with both of the exhaust pipes between the Cat and the Mufflers still attached and I wasn't even able to get them off.
