VFR750 FR Compression and Service Limits

    Just hoping there might be someone who can help answer a question re: compression and the condition of my VFR750 94 which has supposedly done 70,000 km's according to the odometer.

    If my workshop manual says compression at 400 rpm should be 199 psi and the mechanic told me that my actual compression was measured at 180 psi +- say 3 psi on the various cylinders (can't tell you at what rpm he measured it at). What does that tell me about the condition of the engine? Is there much service life left and what sort of power loss would I roughly expect from that sort of drop of compression if the bike made about 100 hp new.

    180 sounds good and that all cylinders are so close sounds better, your way too worried aboot it.
