Made by Kawasaki 2011 Ninja 1000. Full fairing , upright riding position and curb wieght is 502 lbs. 5 gal. gas tank. $ 10,999 retail. This is what I wanted out of the new VFR. up on power ,down on wieght. Instead I got the power but higher wieght and higher price , which was not what I was looking for. Upright riding position is a huge bonus also. Can't wait to see reviews on this bike, everything about it stat wise looks good. Here is a link. If link does not work just go to Kawasaki website. 2011 Ninja® 1000 Sport - Kawasaki.com

I won't be getting rid of my 06 VFR any time soon but this bike looks like it will be may next bike.

    • 1,043cc inline-four with DFI® offers serious torque
    • Lightweight aluminum frame is narrow and tuned to transmit optimal feedback to the rider
    • Fully adjustable inverted front fork has settings designed for sporty performance and ride quality
    • Placement of horizontal back-link rear suspension contributes to mass centralization
    • Radial-mounted front brake calipers combine with the radial-pump front brake master cylinder to offer superb control and feel
    • Sleek, supersport styling gives the Ninja® 1000 a distinctive look
    • Relaxed, upright riding position contributes to all-day comfort
    • Larger fuel capacity offers substantial range
    • Windscreen is adjustable to three positions, allowing for optimum wind and weather protection

Must admit it looks quite interesting especially with its balanced real world Sports bias with and much better touring potential than a FZ1S Fazer.

curb weight is 502 lbs., just imagine, if it had wings on the tank, a real V4 and weighed 450lbs.....yeah, I'm on the crack pipe again.

I just love that muffler and everyone should know that Kawasakis are made out of old beer cans from America.

The reviews I've read on the 2010 are VERY good. As much as I hate to admit it...

I kind of like it myself. I'm not sure if my VFRW contract would allow me to get one, though. I'd lose all my street cred. ;)

Looks good except the mirrors could be used as outriggers on a Sportfisher.

Yes nice looking bike-sort of. What's with all the sharp pointy lines on the new Jap bikes? The spec's say it all. Something Honda should have done. Norcal I'm with you there. I wish Honda would have a light V4 sport tourer. Plus it has a 5 GALLON TANK!.
