So, I'm probably going to buy a '07 RWB. Has anybody bought one recently? Would you mind telling me the actual price you paid so I can have an idea of where to begin negotiations? It's the beginning of winter and I don't think these VFRs have been flying out the door. I've been told there are hundreds of them still in the crate owned by dealerships. I have 2000 and don't need another one, but.....................................

You should be able to get one for $6,999 or less. I've seen several for $6,500 on cycle trader. Ricky Hendrick Performance Honda in Pineville, NC has a couple of '09 models for $7,999, so use that as a bargaining chip. "Why should I give you >>>> for this '07 when I can get a '09 for only $7,999?" That should bring their price down a bit.

    Have fun shopping for it!

You may find that the prices will be slightly different for the ABS and non-ABS models. I paid 7 for mine which I found new last spring in Portland. There are a number of them on Ebay that have been trying to sell since then, so there should be some deals to be had. If you're buying used, it should stand to reason that you could find one for quite a bit less, I would think.

Be sure to let us know when you find the right one! You'll love it.

The neverending threads and comments about what to pay, what its worth, etc.

$10,000? - No. Too effen much
    $6,500? A steal.
$7,000? $7,500? If it makes you happy and you think you are getting a good deal, then buy it. If some naysayer wants to bust your chops about paying too much, screw em. Its your bike, your money. Be happy with it.

I paid $5,000 for mine back in the spring with 10,000 miles. Totally stock.

Had new rear tire and aftermarket bags included.

Thye ABS ones are much harder to find and draw a higher price. I found mine last year new at a dealer for $8500 with 2 miles on it.

Thanks to all who responded to my question. I ended up buying a used one, 7800 miles, Corbin seat and original, extended warranty through 2012, no dings or scratches for $5000.
I've gotta say dealing with Honda dealerships on a new one was less than satisfying. One dealer said if I could find a new one for less than 8K there was something wrong with it, most likely was damaged and had new plastic. Another had one advertised for $7599. I asked for the best price they could give me, told them I'd pick it up at their store and received their final price of $8600. The dealer I planned on buying from advertises $7699 with no add ons. I talked to the guy on the phone, was qualified for 3.99 financing from Honda, he had to know I was serious. I hadn't discussed price with him at all and sent him an email asking for the best deal I could get and never heard from him. I don't know, whatever. It's like my local Honda dealership. It used to be a family owned business where you could take your bike in for service, talk to the owner or mechanic who was working on the bike and not have to worry about anything. Now it's owned by a guy who also owns car dealerships. I took my V65 in there last summer to have the clutch, brake, and shaft oil changed. Got it back and it was obvious the brake and clutch fluids were not changed. I won't be going back and will do all the maintenance myself from now on.
Sorry for the rant, but what the hell are these people thinking?
