stock 5th gen exhaust to 6th gen stock exhaust

hi guys! i have a 98 vfr stock exhaust, but i like the undertail 6th gen exhaust and tail lights. is it possible to upgrade?

 

Anything is possible if you have the skills, time, and cash. Long story short is that the subframes are different and the swingarm on the 6th gen is longer to give clearance for the exaust. It would take a considerable amount of fabrication to mount a 6th gen rear on a 5th gen frame and it would also add quite a bit of weight to your bike. If you just have to have an undertail exaust to show off the rear wheel use the search engine here Many members on this site have come up with some great solutions.

if not one on VFRD
you need a 6th gen tail section.

ck that one out, he used a 6th gen up pipe and stuffed after market cans in the stock tail

 

That's an aftermarket Wolf under seat system. No longer available but pop up on eBay once in awhile.
