a custom map will be much better, but about 250 bucks more expensive... your call.

Trust me my man; the generic downloads, even the one from TBR, are trash compared to a dyno tune. The $250 represents one of the best mods you can do on a 6 gen VFR, and unlike many other mods, it will last for the duration of your ownership. You've already purchased the big ticket parts, you may as well maximize them. It costs less than one set of good tires.

^^^ You'll be happy with that decision. A dyno tune will also reconcile some inherent problems that the generics just can't seem to fully alleviate.

Congrats. I'm glad to hear that it's working out. Like you said.."a differant bike." A much better bike for such a small investment, IMO.

I feel like an asshole asking this since you paid $250 for it, but could you post that tune? I could paypal some cash your way.

dont feel like an asshole... its not made for your bike, so if he does give you his map, youre not going to get as good of results as he did...
even if you guys have the same exact mods it wont be perfect. it will be better than stock though... just not $250 better than stock lol.

i would like to see a post up of the dyno results though.

Correct me but I thought Brian said you allready had some custom map loaded on your PCIII, not workin so hot?? I haven't had a chance to put mine on yet and start playin but I think we're basically running the same setup now that I did my partial gut.

Two Brothers recommended using the 07' VFR Leo Vance slip on, stock air, O2 eliminator map on the PCIII website.
This map ended up being very similar to the custom map on my bike.
The dyno did smooth everything out, If you don't want to spend the $250 try this map
After seeing and feeling the results of the custom map I would have spent more than the $250, well worth it

I'm 99% sure that's the map I'm currently using. It's definitely a marked improvement over stock, but since cdnvfr's bike is practically identical aside from exhaust (you have 2bro's, i have half gut) I was thinking that his dyno tune would work on mine. Now that I've had more time to think about it, (and remember that my rear sprocket has changed) my +1 rear tooth would probably mess things up.
There's a shop 5mi from my house, I should just bite it and go.
Sorry about your thread, cdnvfr. I'm glad to see that a custom tune is worth it though!
