Check this out 1st gen lovers!! 1984 VF1000F!

I just picked this bad boy up for $1500!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Its got the top end oiling mod, the origonal tool kit AND was owned by a 64 year old guy that just drove it to work and back. This thing had to be extremely well taken care of because it has 55k miles and runs like a freaking champ

Its ok to be jelous

    "Flawed from the factory !"

Dude, ya coulda found a good gen 2 for that money !!!

Now you have a nice condition bike--FROM 1984 !!!!--that's junk by today's standards.

It's your ass out on the road, and doncha think that better handling and brakes and tires are worth it ??

And it weighs a bloody ton !

Wow Squirrel, overreact much? Do you think a 57 Chevy is junk also ?

Enjoy your ride dude, it's Sharp. One of my neighbors has one (not nearly as nice) that i have been admiring).
There is something in Squirrelman's post. I would go over that beauty with a fine tooth comb, just to make sure she's all she can be for you.

Enjoy the bike, it looks great! Squirrel likes to rain on every 1'st gen owner's parade. He shits on all of us, and I hate him for it.

Some very good looking bikes don't run at all !

Hate me, so kick me in the nuts !!!!

I believe life's too short to ride the same bike your grandfather rode !!!!

Spend your money on something newer and better AND ride a safer bike.

For god's sake, man, a gen 4 VFR or any later bike feels like something from a different century: It's THAT much better !!!!!!!

... What does that even mean? Why? Let the 1st Gen owners enjoy their bikes in peace.

Good for you, it's not always about the newest and fastest bike money can buy! I'm in the middle of selling my 1st gen 500 in hopes of getting a full fairing 1st gen 1000 much like yours.

Also, I didn't even notice that you also had an 85 700. Way to start a collection.

Congrats on the new addition to the stable. Looks like this First Gen has found a good home.

On a side note - great icon!

The Supermarine Spitfire, one of the all time greats!
