How Much Gas is Left?

I was trying to see how many miles I could go on a full tank. When I saw the gas gauge start to flash I traveled an additional 30 miles thinking that was playing it close enough. But when I went to fill up I could still see gas swishing around at the bottom of the tank.

Does anyone know how much gas is left once the gauge starts to flash?

I calculated about 36 mpg before that fill up, mostly city driving. What kind of mpg's should I be seeing?

 

my 07 gets between 40 - 43 mpg. when the fuel gauge starts flashing, i usually have just about a gallon of fuel left.

 

The tank compacity is 5.8 US gal. Check the total amount of gas when you fill up........
5.8-xx = xxx that will tell you the amount of fuel left before fill up.

 

I usually have between .9 and 1.2 gallons left when the light starts flashing. I've never pushed it more than 35 miles once the light started blinking. Most I think I've ever gone was 225 miles.

 

I get 4.8 gallons in mine when the light first comes on so I figure it has aboot a gallon left to go.
