It's an 85, VF700C Magna, almost running! They guy I got it from thought it needed a valve job, so he did it, and now the front 2 cylinders don't fire. They do have gas and spark. I'm a decent mechanic, so I figure since it actually runs on the rear 2, he must have put the front cam in 180 out? I'm not familiar enough, yet, with these motors but it's gotta be a timing issue, espeicially if it ran before.
Anyone know where I can get a factory service manual? or have this issue before?

You can find the manuals Here!

Valve problems on these bikes are VERY common due to bad top end oiling. There are kits to fix that, and about everyone here with a VF700 or VF750 will have some input on the valves!

Good Luck, You'll find good help here!

I bought an 86 vf500 and the guy i got it from said he rode it over the summer and stored it since. he didn't have a battery in it or gas and i wanted him to start it before i bought it but since didn't have gas we borrowed a battery from his other bike and just tried turning the motor over. I sounded ok then recently i installed a battery and gas and the damn starter sounded like it was falling apart and there was some oil dripping from the bottom of the muffler pipe collector. wtf i paid 1000. for it.
