Hey everyone, my name is Dave and I am fairly new to riding. I have rode motorcycles off and on for the last couple years but got my endorsement only recently after having a permit for a while. Anyways, first Bike I have owned is a 1994 VFR750F, it has 46K miles on it and is in relatively good shape. I paid 2K for the bike and it does need a little work but hey its 16 years old. The bike is stock with the exception of the Two Brothers Exhaust that was on there. Loving this more than other sport bike because the torque it makes is great. Not to mention, I love the combination of the throaty exhaust note with the hi pitch wine of the gear driven cams. There is some fairing damage but thats the only visual. Mechanically the beast runs awesomely. The Chain/Sprocket was just changed prior to buying it and it had a new tire as well. I do need to do a oil change here in about 500 miles, and I also want to flush out the coolant and replace brake pads and fluid flush. Just little things that add up but I ain't complaining. Just my list of things to do... Only bad thing is it has some cheapo battery. The battery doesn't hold a charge for too long. The R/R was replaced just about a month ago and the voltage at the battery at idle and 5K RPM's is great... just one more thing on my list. I plan on getting a quality Gel Battery here shortly. Anyways, this is a very fun bike, loving riding again as it has been years since I have ridden a motorcycle. Almost feels like learning all over again. Pics are of the bike and some of the quick fixes I did for the fairings. I just need to get some time off before I can do a little more work, but Im also thinking about just finding new ones. I noticed some fiber glass patching on the inside of the fairings on the crack which leads me to believe it was broken b4.
I also just installed some new bulbs. I put in a 6K HID kit in the bike and besides the safety aspect of increasing visibility lets just be honest it looks awesome..
Hahaha, No, I'm not a noob, I just have not ridden a street bike for several years. I have mainly dirt bike experience but not a whole lot of street. This is the first Street bike I have owned.
It was a little windy that day, but I had a lot of painters tape on there too holding the paper down. I also was wrapping certain parts in paper too.
end result Again, I'm not a body worker at all, this is really my first ever attempt at body work and it just happens to be a motorcycle. When I have a bit more dough after getting some regular maintenance done on the motorcycle I will clean it up a bit and make it more flush and all pretty.
