In a post last spring someone had posted up a listing of a guy that was selling aftermarket tubes that were made of aluminium, can't find it right now but will look harder later. Maybe another member can locate it?

I might have one. Is it the VENT tube or fuel supply tube.

Post the measurements so I can check thanks.

The one I have is 3.140 length and the two ends of the long part are .350 diameter at the tip. The short leg is about 1 inch long. The diameter of the short leg is .330 at the tip.

I broke my fuel inlet tube from my 83 (or it was cracked and i completed the job). As Honda doesn't support parts for bikes olden than 10 years, I chose to make one out of Copper plumbing and a piece of copper line. wasn't too diffiicult, just tedious. I don't recall the exact pipe size but take the old one to your local Home Depot or similar plumbing supply and get a "t", two conectors and a foot of flexible copper line.
You will cut and solder one piece of line to the left of the "t", long enough to fit all of the way into the carb. Another short length 9about 2 inches" to the bottom of the "t" as this is where you have to clamp your fuel line and another longer piece to the right of the "t" so that it extends into the carb. Then you have to slip a connector (basically the connector allows you to join two lengths of pipe into a longer piece) ontp the right side of the pipe far enough back so it just touches the side of the carb.
You will then slip some new o-rings onto each end (but not bottom) of the new pipes. Probably try 2-3 per side as they will have to be puched into the carb openings to seal against fuel leaks.
I may have to take my carbs off soon as I have to replace the float gaskets. If I do, I will try to post a picture.
    Good luck.

That seems very UNSAFE because you need some grooves in the tube to keep the o-rings from getting wet with fuel and just pushing right out and starting a FIRE.
I would not recommend that. There are aluminum tubes made that you can order online from europe. Or you can make exact copies yourself. WITH O RING GROOVES.

The body of the "t" is larger in diameter than the tube you are soldering within. The outer body gives the o-ring something to fit against. This also why I added a connector over the body of the right side of the tube...so there is a larger diameter fitting for the o-ring to sit against. Mine does not leak but do a crappy job of soldering or fitting for size and it will.
If you know of suppliers from Europe, add al link as I searched for quite awhile and did not find any.

    P.B.
