Thanks for the review, not to mention the retorts! BTW the correct spelling is Battlax.

So I see a lot of praise going on for the BT-016s. Great performance to price ratio, good in the rain, all that good stuff. I don't see anything about longevity in the tire. I know my riding style and I know what I use the bike for. As much as I hate to say it, my bright yellow VFR is a commuter. It can do some great things, but I need a tire that will last for looooooong, boring as f$@% straight sections of highway.
With that said, my BT-021s have close to 11k on my front and 9k on the rear. The front has a crazy flat spot on the right due to the only big curve on my commute (a long sweeping right-hander taken at well above the speed limit). I like the sound of what the BT-016s offer, but my questions are...
Is there a big difference in the performance and of the BT-016 over the BT-021? Will the 16 last as long as the 21?
Thanks for all the help so far.

My BT-016 tires are now shot. Lots of slab riding. I'll try to find the receipt so I can figure out how many miles I got out of them.
