For looks I decided to slightly mod my rear mudguard. Attached are pictures (shame I couldn't get the listing in order). I originally wanted to pull the whole rear plastic out but had issues with connected componentry near the battery. I used an angle grinder to cut the plastic and am very pleased with the result.. One job down. Several to go
Nice, I received one of those R line rego label holders. They roll your rego sticker. Will probably just add to your improvements. I havent put mine on yet
Very much like I did mine. I simply took a box cutter to it. The American models have a license plate light that was wired through the plastic and plugged in to the wiring harness. That was easily enough removed. I then took my license plate and held it up as far as it would go under the reflector. I marked the mounting holes and the drilled them out. Once the plate was mounted I just cut around it. The whole job took around a half hour. I think it cleans up the rear quite nicely. We all appreciate a clean rear.
Clean rear.... It is amazing how little work is involved and how much it changes the look of the rear of the bike. I had a few extra visits to the garage just to look at it again as I was so happy it is done... Its also nice that the fairing covers over most of the cut area hiding any cutting errors
