    A) Sports-touring bikes but more sports than touring. 160-mile fuel stops I'm used to, yes.
    B) My last Honda was a CBX750 that blew up on me at over 100k miles and two piston changes. Since then it's been Suzuki RF600, Yamaha YZF600, Aprilia Falco, Aprilia Futura, Triumph Tiger. That last one didn't suit me at all. Commuter bikes all, all year round.
    C) That's pretty much correct.
    D) I always had a Scottoiler but I do welcome this great shaft drive.
    E) I never had kids so I buy the bike that suits me. Since Aprilia never made a successor for the Futura, this VFR1200 felt instantly like the bike Aprilia should have built. Couldn't be happier although I still have a soft spot for Aprilia.

Yes, spot on except for "B". It should be "Has bought many other bikes including Hondas, and only wants Honda quality for his next bike."

I really appreciate the Honda quality. My first bike was a Honda CBR600F2 (15 years ago). Since then I have owned a few Ducati's, another Honda, and a Buell. The Honda quality is remarkable compared to owning other bikes. That's why I'm seriously considering the VFR1200F. I fit the above description perfectly. I saw a brand new one on the freeway the other day, and I said "man, that doesn't look so ugly after all, like it does in the pictures. I've gotta check that thing out." So here I am gathering some info.
