So I searched and didn't find any real answer to my question so I'm posting it here!
I want to take my stock mufflers off my bike and gut them but will have to ride the bike in the mean time. I will still have the cat on for back pressure I am only taking the pipes off from the clamp below the center stand. Will this hurt the engine? it's a 2007.

It wont hurt the engine, but it will run like absolute shit in the meantime, and afterward if you don't adjust the carbs for the modified pipes.

Lol, you may want to listen to it first before riding it around. It will be VERY LOUD. Wont hurt anything but your ears.
