Got an interesting phone call today. Prev. owner of my 99VFR

Ill try to keep it short , Salesman at WoW.com calls me today. He says the prev. owner of my bike was there and would like to speek to me. Woh!! is this good or bad? Turns out good he has lots of stuff for my bike including the seat cowl and good service man.And lots of other stuff. As I suspected he had loved on this bike from day one. he gave me a complete history on the bike. Oil ch. valve adj. all of it. How cool was that I now know more about my VFR than I did about my ST after having the ST for 2 years. When I get the parts Ill post some pics, I hope. Its a good day.:biggrin:

Be carefull of him, he may just be lulling you into a false sense of security with the promise of free baubles only to snatch his keys quickly back and running off to be with his old flame again. :wink:

Have flirted with Gixxers, Fireblades and even somewhat perversely a HD XR1200 but after 6 years of VFR ownership still have no wish to "cheat" with any other machine. :smile:

stranger things have happened, but be glad you got all the insider info on your bike. i bought mine from the orig. owner who took very good care of it, and gave me the stock windshield and exh. along with the the ZG and Staintunes, and a battery tender! He emailed me earlier this year to see how the bike was.

some enthusiasts think that Honda suffered from that campaign ad.

 

:smile:Very cool!! This guy is military. So he moves around alot. Said the bike spent time in N.C. but mainly out west C.A. and vegas. He said she did'nt like rain. I wounder what he ment by that. I rode her home in the rain, up 85.at 85mph and no worries. oh well Ill keep an eye on that. He was very maticulas and spacific about everything he did on this bike.I was very pleased. I told him I would take good care of her and that he could look at the ST I left behind as proof. Well Im goin out side and clean her up now, gotta lead a group of HD,s up to lake bowin today. ( some of my wifes freinds) Nice people,and allthough its not my idea of a ride. There buying the BBQ. I don't know bout you guys but in this economy Im not passing on free food.
