1986 VFR750 oil cooler hoses

    The oil cooler has 2 outlet tubes on it, and mine's only got a few inches of plastic tubing clamped on them and not connected to anything. Honda shop manual doesnt detail these either. What are they supposed to do, and where should they be routed in the frame?

    Good question. Same clear tubes are also on gen 3 & 4. Might be water drains ??? Does anyone really know ?? I've wondered too, for 20 years !

    Don't fret: "They're all that way."

    this would make an excellent question for a VFR QUIZ !!

    Well the worst thing is that the short stub of hose on mine interfered with the steering!! Yep, I was fiddling with it and when I tried to turn the bars, it rubbed against the forktube and acted like a fork stop midturn
