I was wondering, in this big bad VFR world, who has purchased items from David Silver Spares (DSP) and what, or if they have an opinion?

I need to get a set of panniers for my VFR1200F and my dealer said, that Honda said, they won't be available until mid August!?!?!

Well, that's just not acceptable...so...I read somewhere...about someone purchasing a set from DSP, here in the USA.

Their price is outstanding. About 300 dollars cheaper then my dealer can get them for me.(Including shipping from the UK to my front door) That's even with my long standing customer discount!

    Thoughts?

I've bought tons of parts from DSS in the UK. Great prices, extremely fast shipping and the best service. I'd have no issues ordering from them again in a minute.

If you are looking for luggage then you can now buy from Givi for the VFR1200. Bigger boxes.

No worries at all. I ordered several parts, got prompt notification of how much shipping would be to the state, and received my order in exactly a week from the day I placed the order. They are solid in my eye.

I saw that GIVI now had boxes listed for the VFR1200. I belileve they are the V35's. By the looks of them, they weren't using the cool factory mounting method. But, Hey I could be wrong! No worries, the "Honda" ones are big enough for what I'll be doing with it.

I live around 15 miles from this store and have never had any problems if you do let me know I will go along and tell them

    +1

David Silver Spares is a top notch outfit and a great source for NLA items and OEM tools. Great service (follow-up e-mail updates) and fast shipping to the US (I'm located in New York and orders usually are received in under a week).

In the US, Service Honda is also excellent. They don’t sell OEM tools – OEM parts only - but they typically have the best prices on the net. Shipping is reasonable but I have found it is best to order up to save on this cost – for smaller orders (for a gasket or a couple washers, etc.) I would recommend going to your local Honda dealer to save on the shipping costs.

I ordered my VFR1200 hard bags from DSS on a Wed and they arrived the following Tues. Less than a week. I got the hard bags for around $1030 shipped. Color matched great, the only thing I've found is that it appears the UK version of bags doesn't include the elastic strap on the inside of the bag like the US ones due. The instructions do include the part number if you want to order it though.

I've got the US version with the strap. It's OK but not worth the extra $$. No worries!!

I agree. The straps are no big deal.
