This bike is nothing like my ST was. What a difference. I had a ball on this bike. The twistys were effortless. I found my self having to correct for diving in too hard once or twice.200 pounds lighter makes such a difference. I figured at my age the agressive riding possition would hurt my back until I got use to it,but so far thats not the case. Its no more than the ST was. I am head over heals in love with this bike. The guy who had it before me must have loved on it as well. For an eleven year old motorcycle its in great shape. And has nice mods to it as well. I stoped and checked the regulator/rectifier for heat and it was hardly even warm during all phases of the ride. So this guy must have installed the heavy duty one and done the harness as well.

Long distance slow speed Mountain range of continual 15 to 35mph twisties are my favourite type riding on the Gen 5, at thes speeds even Litre Sport bikes wont get away from a VFR ridden with purpose and ear plugs out with nice aftermarket end can the Gen 5 has a near orgasmic sound mix of Gear driven Cam whine, 4 barrel induction roar and V4 goodness booming back off cliff faces, I know as I am still smilling warmly inside from last weeks 1000 mile overnighter riding my VFR through such a range.

Welcome! What do you think gets me out of bed every day at 5:30am and on the road to work at 6:30, my '99 with the sound of that TBros exhaust! Can't wait for the end of the day too and the ride home. It's a great bike.

Thank you for the replies fellows. This is a cool site, and I am happy to say the people are as warm and freindly as the ones on ST owners.com I think motorcyclist are some of the best people I've met anywhere. Oh and yes about the sound I know what you mean. The bike has a micron can and a power comander3. It sounds and run very nice. And tight mountain roads are my fav.

Awe man thats a nice looking bike. I love the older hondas. And the VFR/interceptors have been some of my favs. From the earlyest models to the currant ones, soooo sexy. I wanted a sport bike for ever and I finally got one. It feels so nice. My last two bikes have been like the fountain of youth. And the older bikes are the best. Before I die I want one more bike with a kiktomup start. I stay in the mtn's when I ride. I mean thats where the curves are.
