My bike has intermittent starter engagement issue. It never left me stranded but I took off the right side engine cover to assess the problem. Sure enought the starter clutch is cracked in 2 or 3 places. All other gears, pins, springs etc are in great shape. Does anyone have a junker engine that they would sell me the starter clutch? The part has been discontinued and I do not want to think about welding up the cracks and putting it back in my bike. I will take the assembly you just pull out if you have it. Tell me what it is worth to you.

Just East of Seattle about 8 miles.

    Thanks for all your help

I received an instant Private Message from a great contributor here and my Original VFR will be back on the road shortly. That is after I get the right side engine cover gasket. Oh well, guess I will be stuck riding the ST1300 till my Viffer is running again. Again, thanks for the replies and offers!
