    Hello all,

new to this forum, new to the VFR cult. I was able to get my hands on a left over 2004 Italian red model. The thing is simply stunning. After 6 years of nothing but in-line fours I am hooked.

Anyway. The unthinkable has happened. After only 130 miles (and yes I am a fairly experienced rider-80,000+ miles in the last 5 years) we went down. I am still trying to figure out the picture uploading. So I am sorry it's without visuals.

I cannot find aftermarket replacement mirrors for the 6th generation. Cheapest OEM is $58 per mirror. There is a company called EMGO that makes cheap replacement mirrors for just about any motorcycle out there. Usually you get both mirrors for under $45. They do not make them for 02-07 VFR's. Does anybody have any leads for cheaper mirrors? I need the left one at minimum.

I simply bought a set from Ebay. They are lower than the stockers. They have held up just as good as the stockers. It took me a bit to get used to.

I was doing something really stupid. Started my bike on the side stand, steped away and it rolled and fell. Broke the clutch level, and mirror and got a small scratch...

I was sick about it for about a month.

I bit the bullet and ended up buying the OEM for $55. What company made the mirrors you bought? What do you mean by sitting lower? Are they intended for a different model and they just simply fit? If so what model? The closest thing was replacement mirrors for the RC51. They are still very different.

Nope they are for the VFR. They don't sit up as high as the stockers. Can't recall what I paid for them.

welcome to the group. sorry to hear what happened. I bought my mirror from ebay when I dropped mine. it is an emgo and is not exactly like stock, but it's hard to tell unless you put them really close together. also, I don't think it holds as steady in the breeze
