I'm new to this forum and relatively new to sport touring bikes. I bought my VFR after my 2nd tour to Afghanistan. It was my "I got back twice alive" gift to myself. As I said, I know that isn't the best picture but I have more somewhere. If nothing else, I will take more soon and post them when I can.

Glad you made it back twice, hope you do not have to go again. Will be passing through the north east end of Arizona in a few weeks on my bike.

Welcome aboard. I'm east valley as well. We'll have to put the '06 next to the '86 some time. Still trying to get a valley VFR ride going, but it's just been too dang hot.

    Welcome home.
I used to live at Cooper and Chandler, but that doesn't do us any good now, does it?

    My VFR

I'm sorry, I kind of sound like a douche with that statement about my bike. However true it is, I think it makes me look like a tool. Let's forget I said that. Thank you for your support.

No worries Stymie, its not possible to avoid making at least one douche-like statement on VFRW if you spend any time here at all.

    Welcome .......

    Welcome back, Man.
I came back from that forgotten country in May of 1979 with PTSD. Bike would help at that time, but in Russia PTSD was for weak and bikes was for peasants only, so I was left with vodka and women :_)
    Welcome to the madness.

Welcome to the dark side my friend. As a retired Navy vet, I am glad you made it through two combat tours, and thank you very much for your service. Enjoy the new ride. I live in Maricopa (just south of Phoenix), and I sincerely hope we can ride together one day.

I was thinking the same thing about a VFR ride. Maybe in a few weeks we'll get lucky and the temps will dip below 100 for a while...

Nice to see all the Valley VFR's extending a welcoming hand... We're all gonna have to get together sometime for a lunch/ride one of these weekends. I'm in East Mesa @ Ellsworth and Broadway and travel to 27th Ave and Deer Valley every day for school (MMI). We live so close to one another and yet it's so far between that I ever see any other VFR's out on the highway.

    Anyways...

Welcome to The Crazy Hut, Stymie.

We've all got a few screws loose and have our moments of glory on here... and yet we still manage to fall face first in a big pile of crap on occasion... so ease into your seat, extend your arms and grip the bars tightly cause it's gonna be one hell of a ride!
